Never eat less than 1200 calories a day and that's only if you getting absolutely no exercise. You yourself should probably be eating about 1400-1600 calories a day if you want to lose weight. I know you think you're beating the system if you're eating less but you're just going to be screwing yourself over because you're slowing down your metabolism and making it more likely that you'll binge. Also I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news but for someone your size, 10 lbs in a month is not a realistic goal, even if you meet it it will probably be a lot of water weight lost and not actual fat. Try to aim for 1-2 lbs a week which for someone not overweight is already a lot, and it's a lot more likely that the weight will stay off and come off consistently.

Can I realistically get to a 12 minute mile and a half?

I have until September 6th before my final PT assessment for police academy. This is the first time I've ran in a LOOOOOONG time, so it's been rought getting back into it. I also smoked up until about a month ago, so my lung capacity is kinda diminished. At the initial assessment, I did the 1 1/2 mile in 18:43. I also didn't have actual running shoes (flat bottomed Chuck Taylor's are a KILLER on your feet at that distance). As of right now, I'm running 3 days a week during the academy at distances of 1 1/2 to 2 miles...and we'll be working up to around 6 miles by the end of the summer. My main problem is my calves get extremely tired (heavy legs) after about 3/4 of a mile, and I usually have to walk for a short distance and then start running again. The other day we did a timed 400m and my average was around 2:10, but my legs were killing me afterward and I can't maintain that speed much longer than one lap. What are some good ways to improve my endurance, and do you think I can actually pull off a 12 minute 1 1/2 mile at the rate I'm at right now?

Why do I still look flabby?

i've been working out for about 5 weeks. i eat REALLY healthy, with the acception of one piece of chocolate (30 calories) a day. I do weight training for my arms, legs, and abs each time i go to the gym (about 4 or more times a week), and afterwards, about an hour of cardio as well. I'm about 118 ilb now, but my stomach, arms and legs all still look flabby! I don't get what i'm doing wrong, as i'm eating healthy, and i do weights before cardio, so i'm not burning off muscle. I'm so annoyed and confused, because my shirt size hasn't gone down (size md or small in tops, and my jean size has just barely gone down (7 juniors is now lose on me, i could fit into a size 5 depending on the store). I'm still flabby, and i jiggle in everything i do. even now, while i'm typing on my laptop, i can feel my fat shaking as i'm typing. PLEASE help, because i have no idea what i'm doing wrong.

In my opinion, I would say no. I would stick with the Traxxas Link 2.4ghz system since you are putting it in your Slash anyways. You can get one on ebay for around $40 and it really is a very good system. I use one Traxxas controller for all 6 of my RC's. If you get the Link receiver (which is included in the cost of $40) 2218, it has 5 channels, so if you are hooking up accessories it will handle it. Then if you get another RC, or already have another one, all you need is the 2218 receiver and you can use the same remote/transmitter. Just my opinion and what has worked well for me.

well you see, i am just overweight. not a lot, barely but i absolutely hate it. its like theres an extra chunk attached to my belly, plus my thighs, they jiggle and its not attractive at all. someone told me that if i eat healthily and go jogging for 20 minutes every day i will be sorted. well, thats easier said than done. im a teenager and my mum thinks i look fine and wont let me diet. i have an exercise bike in the garage but that makes my thighs appear bigger, i want slimmer. i cant sneak out and go for a jog either as where i live you will have to stop every 2 seconds for traffic and bends and corners or slow down. id rather have a clear space to jog in. there are places but id have to drive there, i dont have a lisence. ive asked my mum to go walking before and she came but she has a real bad leg so we have to stop often and go slow and not go far which is pointless in even going in the fistplace. its just that its summer now and its real hot so i want to wear bikinis and crop tops and shorts but not with the way i look now! so i was wondering if i was to jog on the spot for 20 minutes, go on the exercise bike for 20 minutes and skip for a bit, would i get similar results?

What to do with a 8 week-old fussy baby?

My daughter is 8 weeks old and has been a really fussy baby. She is still fed and sleeps on demand (every ~3 hrs during the day and ~4 hrs between 11pm-7am). she sleeps ok during the night and before noon, but she pretty much spends all her waking hrs between noon and 10pm crying whenever she is awake. She eats ok every meal, then I'd burp her, change her diaper... and then she'd start crying. I wanna go swimming but then I don't because I'm not that comfortable with my body but in the back of my head I know i look fine. I have kinda big hips, but not that big I can wear a 6 or 7 in skinny jeans. My thighs aren't big it's just they jiggle but I'm fine with that kinda it's just i have stretch marks on my hips and around my butt area so I try to wear shorts that came right past my hips. And the thing that's really holding me back is I have a little pudge right in the center of my stomach. Everything else is flat it,s just that little pugde. I'm about 5'7 and 117 lbs and I really don't know what kind of swimsuit to wear. If you guys have any opinions that would be great. The only things I ask is that they have board shorts but short board shorts and not just a bikini top because my mom hates that. Fender and door rubbing grinding together and causing loud POP!?

This is for my moms car its a pt cruiser if that helps at all but, my brothers friend was sitting on the front of the car (right around the driver side headlight) And when after that my mom went to open the door and it was stuck shut the fender was pushing against the door. we pulled the fender a little to get the door open it opened and we never thought anything of it but now it constantly pops and gets stuck and the paint is chipping in one spot where you can see its grinding together. does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this easily? It's not a big problem but very irritating and embarrassing.

2000 chevy blazer popping noise?

it pops when shifting from park to reverse or drive or nuetral to reverse or drive. also its got another pop when turning right and hitting bumps. this all happened recently as in within the last week or two. also there is an electrical problem and out of nowhere it won't start like if the battery was disconnected and you have to jiggle the wire. i'm a mechanic in training and this has me stumped. somebody please help me!!!

Hmm from looking at the pictures it does seem the LCD is ok. That issue seems to be related to either the video card, the ribbon connector connecting the LCD to motherboard, or maybe the inverter. I understand buying the computer for cheap as a spare and misc but if you are only after a screen, there are MANY screens you can buy for pretty cheap. I would go that route if you are only looking for a screen. Unless you are going to try to make a bid and get it cheap, on ebay I see MANY LCD's for around $90-$150. To be SAFE (UNLESS you want a parts computer) I would just get the LCD alone and not the E1705. If you want a good parts computer than go for it.

5'6, 130 average weight for a 14 year old guy?

I'm currently 113, and 5'6. I'm starting to feel sick, I eat lots of fiber and not a lot of variety of food.. I usualy stick to about 2-3 things and repeat it. Mother ruining birthday...again?

So LAst year for my birthday, my family did Absolutely nothing. two weeks after my birthday we were at a restraint and my mother has ordered my food for me (as in not letting me chose what i eat) . I broke my ankle , had surgery , then fell on it?

i broke my ankle then had surgery and everything is going well and im in the walking boot right now and i kinda tripped on my ankle and fell, should i be worried? everything is healed back right? i have a plate and 14 screws. after falling my ankle feels even more loose and easier to walk? did i screw up anything or prolong this hassle of a broken ankle?i dont think i could rebreak it so easy. i dont feel any pain, just a little in my heal... It really depends if you want to get paid for it. Poetry is highly subjective. One person can think it's terrible and another could think you're the next Sylvia Plath. Some magazines are selective while others are not. However, even if you're one of the best poets today you'll still probably not get paid well. Still No Period, Negative Home Pregnancy Test, Please Help!!?

Hey well today I took a $1.00 pt. I peed right before I took the test. So then I had to pee again so I decided to go ahead and take it and see what it said. I have took a pt early this month and it came back a very very faint negative. Which I heard was a positive. Idk, im 25 days late and it has been either 56 or 57 days since my last period which was May 6th. I was spotting to day it was very bright red and had a tiny clot too. This can't be my period because I have done that earlier this month also and it lasted maybe 1 day and a 1/2. Its not a full blown bleeding just when I wipe and nothing in the toliet after i pee. I still believe that Im pregnant. I'm having heartburn as we speak. I have cramps like period like, lower back pain, i sleep a lot, i could wake up really late and still want to go back to sleep like 1 hr later. I'm really thirsty, and I just want to know if i'm really pregnant because I never miss a period. Im usually like 32-33 days regular. I'm just super curious and if i don't start soon or something then im going to the ER. Please help, can I still be pregnant? I'm getting really disapointed when the test say NEGATIVE. What if I don't heal in allotted time while in AIT? Are there medical benefits?

I'm in AIT, and was sent home on con leave for stress fract. to the hips. I go back to the base next week (can't wait), but my hips hurt worse then when i came home. I've been off my feet religeously. I've been very nervous about this whole thing, because I am 42 and joined the Army just one week before the age cut-off - so I tried to be extra cautious about not getting injured in BCT. It did sneak up on me, however., but I was able to pass my PT test. (today I can't even imagine attempting to run). Anyway - the doc told me I have 30 days con leave, then 60 days when I get back to recover, and if I don't then I will be medically discharged. I've been reading others' experiences, and some people said they took alot longer than 90 days to heal, so at my age, I've become nervous. I don't want to leave the Army, but if I end up needing the surgery, or if I don't heal within the 90 days allotted, will I receive medical help for my hips afterward?? I read you have to be in for 180 days to get help after, but is that altogether true?? If they decide not to keep me, can I fight to stay in anyway? i don't want to get out of the Army, but if I am forced out, can I expect any further help with my hips?? (those are two seperate scenarios - so I'd like to know what my options are) -- Or does anyone know who I should be asking these questions to? thanks in advance!

Numbiness and cold sensation in left foot, along with calf cramps.?

I had my left ACL repaired a year ago. I had many complications (DVT, PE). Never really followed through with my PT, but I have lost 40 lbs and going to the gym now. THe last 2-3 weeks my left calf cramps and i get a numb/cold feeling in my foot. I went to the ER 3 days ago and I still am clot free (7 months now). I have no idea what is causing this, any ideas?

13 year old male, Is it normal to get fatter during puberty?

I'm a 13 year old boy, I started puberty at about 12 years old and since then I started getting fatter. I used to be a bit skinny and my big brother who is now 16 is really skinny and kind of has a six pack but he barely does any exercise. I do a lot of sports but it never affects my weight. I feel a bit low on confidence because of my weight. It's kind of a bummer because there's a girl I like in school. I'm not overweight I'm just a bit chubby but I have moobs, not big ones ones but they are still a bit noticeable. I don't know if I will get skinnier and If I will how long it will take. I feel a bit jealous of my brother because he's always got a girlfriend. Not long ago he broke up with this girl and then a week later he got another girlfriend. It's also quite annoying because he's really skinny but he eats more than me. I don't eat a lot but I started eating more when I started puberty. Sometimes I worry that people won't like me because I'm a bit chubby. Sometimes I think I look a bit out of proportion because my face has always been skinny. I have a couple of friends who are quite skinny, Most of them obviously haven't gone through puberty but some of them have. I'm wondering weather I need to do more exercise, I started karate a couple of months ago and have really enjoyed it. It has improved my physical stamina but has nothing to my weight, in fact I seem to be getting heavier. I've weighed myself more often now that I've been more concerned about my weight and I now weigh about 9 1/2 stone. I feel a bit embarrassed because during P.E because boys wear shorts and my thighs jiggle a bit when I run and it's also annoying because at the start of P.E, we run past the girls P.E group which has a lot of skinny girls in it. Hello. I'm fourteen, 5'6, and I weight about 120. I know that sounds like a healthy weight according to the BMI chart but I am disgusted with myself. I have small arms but my stomach looks like pumpkin, no lie.. I have to wear my pants above my waist so my love handles won't show. I also am ashamed of my thighs, I have no gap between my legs and they jiggle. I am VERY healthy. I do not eat junk food, nor do I drink soda, and I don't eat a lot. I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables annd drink water. I exercise, too. I have a 2002 SL1 series SATURN. When I insert the key into the ignition, the key will not turn to start the car. At this point, my steering wheel is locked so there's not much room I can move the steering wheel except to the right and back. Okay I am only 18 years old, and always been considered an extremely tiny, underweight. Everything above my waist is skin and bones basically. I have noodle arms, bony wrists, flat stomach (small boobs :/) and just petite. But my butt and thighs are HUGE! I know my diet isn't the best, cause I do enjoy my cheeseburgers and french fries but I rarely eat them, and my parents (who are always both a little over weight) are very good at making healthy foods, making sure we all get the right diet we need, and have each food category in us, like wheat, whole grain, dairy, protein, iron etc. But I seriously cannot lose this bottom weight! I walk everywhere, and even bike and yet it seems my butt and hips get bigger and bigger. Especially my butt. If you do that, your body will try to turn everything to fat that you do eat.

I was wondering at what age a baby can understand basic things. The reason I ask is because my son has a tendency to do things that we dislike and we tell him no, yet he continues to do them. My toilet lately has been flushing but not refilling the tank with water. When I flush the toilet, it sometimes will refill. Mostly, the water just RUSHES out so quickly, the pump never kicks in. Car won't go out of park?

Car won't go out of park and even the mechanic can't fix it. The car is a 98 grand am. First the mechanic said the car needed a new shifter. The mechanic could not find a shifter for the car so he unlocked the shifter. The car was able to shift fine for a few days then it got stuck in park and when we banged on the shifter it came out of park. Took it back to the mechanic and he took the shifter out stuck his hand in it and jiggled the shifter and put it back in and said that should fix the problem. 5 days later and the car is stuck in park and banging on the shifter doesn't help. The brake lights come on and the brakes click but they wont go down. The car was hooked up to a diagnostic machine and the throttle position sensor was bad but the machine did not pick up anything else. The throttle position sensor was replaced. The car was slipping gears bad before the throttle position sensor was replaced. It seems the mechanic cannot pinpoint the problem with the shifter. The car will probably be stuck in park forever. Because a replacement shifter cannot be found can the old shifter be rebuilt? Is there anywhere on the internet besides ebay where a shifter for a 98 grand am can be bought? It is not the cable because the mechanic said that was fine. I do not know if he checked the fuses, brake switch or solenoids because he never said what he exactly did to the shifter the second time. I was at a job interview, and came out to start my car only to find that my ignition is locked! I can pull the key out and put it in, but it's a tiny bit sticky pulling it out. The steering wheel is also locked. The steering wheel also looks like it could be upside down but the wheels are straight and I'm not on a hill. Automatic, and the gear is stuck in park. This has never happened before ever and I have tried jiggling the steering wheel both gently and rough to free up the lock to no success. The steering wheel has very little room to give as it is locked because of the anti theft feature. The key isn't worn as far as I can tell. I honestly believe it is just locked or jammed up because the steering wheel was in such an awkward position when I shut the car off. I always lock the steering wheel when the car isn't being used but this is the first time the ignition has acted up
